What is WHYSHIFT?

WHYSHIFT is an object house creating collectible ritual objects, wearable artifacts, functional drops, and private releases for people who move differently.

Not mass inventory. Not ordinary accessories. Objects from the house, released in controlled runs.

What is a ritual object?

A ritual object is a product with function, presence, and meaning. It is made to be used, worn, carried, or collected as part of a personal state shift.

Are WHYSHIFT drops limited?

Some releases are limited, private, made-to-order, or released in controlled runs.

If a product page says Limited Drop, Private Drop, Archive, Made To Order, or Final Sale, the product may not return once sold out.

Will sold-out products return?

Private drops are released in controlled windows and may not return once sold out.

Some archive releases may return in future drops, but we do not guarantee restocks on limited objects.

What does made-to-order mean?

Certain WHYSHIFT objects are produced only after the order is placed. This allows the house to release slower, sharper, more intentional objects without overproduction.

Made-to-order pieces may take longer to ship. The wait is part of the ritual.

Can I cancel my order?

Usually, no — not once processing starts.

WHYSHIFT uses multiple third-party fulfillment partners and warehouses. In-stock orders are often picked, packed, and shipped the same business day. Because fulfillment moves that fast, we generally cannot cancel an order after it is placed.

On weekends or during slower processing windows, a cancellation may sometimes be possible if you email hello@whyshift.com or call (213) 432-1585 right away with your order number before the order ships.

Once tracking is created or the order has shipped, cancellation is not available.

Can I return my order?

Eligible products can be returned within 30 days of delivery if they are unused, unworn, unopened, undamaged, and in original packaging.

Some products are excluded for safety, hygiene, scarcity, or drop-integrity reasons. See our Returns & Exchanges page for details.

Are energy strips returnable?

Opened energy strips, oral strips, ingestible products, supplements, or products with broken seals cannot be returned for safety and hygiene reasons unless damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Can I return earrings or body-contact products?

Earrings and other hygiene-sensitive body-contact products may not be returnable once opened, worn, tried on, or removed from protective packaging unless damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, where available. International orders may be subject to duties, taxes, customs fees, and import charges. See our Shipping page for details.

How long does shipping take?

Most eligible in-stock orders are handed to carriers quickly — often the same business day. Delivery estimates are shown at checkout where available and may vary by destination and carrier.

How do I track my order?

Tracking information will be sent once the order ships, when tracking is available. Check your inbox and spam folder for the shipping confirmation email.

What if my item arrives damaged?

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the item, packaging, and shipping label. If we sent the wrong item or the item arrived damaged, we will help make it right.
